After seeing so many good reviews for “The kitchen” I finally thought I should hit it.So I and some of my friends planned up to land here for the dinner.
We called them to reserved the table for five for dinner and we reached the place on time by 7:00PM.
I was quite excited to see the place and their menus, As I expected they greeted us in very good manner and provided us the reserved seat.
They gave us some time to settle up then one of their chef greeted us and informed about the live Kolkata kitchen which they have.
After sometime they stared to serve us the food.
They started with squid fry and chicken 65 and chicken soup.
I dint like the chicken soup much, been a foodie I have been to many place but I still feel the soup which maplai restaurant provide is the best in Chennai.
Coming to the squid fry its just kicked my taste buds and made me feel wow. Even chicken 65 did the same.
Then I left my seat to see the food item which is in the buffet I was flying when I saw the food which they have kept in buffet .
Its started with salad then to sushi { pepperoni, beef, prawn and chicken } each and everything is smoked. Many of my friends dint like the sushi. I personally liked it.
They were smoked and seized with salt that what most of the sushi restaurant does. It was perfect.
Then to chicken biriyani to chicken gravy to crab to fish curry I was quite excited to try everything.
Chicken briyani:
Its was damn good they made it in south indian style dum biriyani with lots of ghee loved it.
Crab curry:
Must try in kitchen
But I felt “The kitchen” is more veggie friendly Coz they have more veg menu comparing to the non veg.
Then to the live kitchen they had pasta and pizza.
Soft-drink they had cranberry juice and jaljeera drink. I personally felt cranberry juice is the best I drank nearly up to 4 glasses.
And they had live Kolkata kitchen.
They had chats items and Kolkata favorite dish : Moghlai Parathas, Fish chops, Fish fingers.
Loved everything.
Coming to the desserts:
Four different flavoured ice creams and 10 different types of sweets.
Among the best is mango ice cream and rasagula <3 Wow they made is perfectly, damn delicious.
You can check all the food in the video
Overall experience:
Worth paying 1675 bucks. According to the taste, ambiance and service I gave them this guys 4.5 out of 5.
